My Aproach

If you are facing charges, allegations or investigation for a criminal or road traffic offence, make me your first port of call. You’ll find me ready to listen to your story: my clients say they like my straightforward and sympathetic apporach. Being accused of a crime is an unnerving time for you and your family, so I'll guide you through the often confusing legal process and explain all the possible outcomes and the likely timescales.

If you choose me to represent you, I’ll look at the case from all angles. I’ll ensure I have all the facts and doggedly pursue the evidence needed to present your case in the best possible light.

If you have been arrested or charged

I recommend always having a solicitor with you if you’re being interviewed by the police. It’s a critical time, and my experience shows that having legal representation from the off can hugely impact your case's outcome. By being there, I’ll also ensure you are treated fairly. I'm on call 24/7, so I can join you at whichever police station you’ve been taken to.

If you think you might be charged

If you’re under suspicion for a crime or have recently been released from custody and think you might be charged, contact me to have an expert and understanding solicitor by your side. I always act in complete confidence and am available day and night, 365 days a year.

Criminal Offeces

Criminal Offences

I have over a decade of experience representing clients in everything from breach of the peace to attempted murder, including drug offences, theft, fraud, sexual harassment and weapons offences. Depending on the seriousness of the crime you’ve been accused of, you may be asked to appear at a Justice of the Peace court, a Sheriff Court or a High Court. I’ll be at your side no matter where you’ve been summoned to: I regularly represent clients in Elgin, Inverness, Tain, Wick, Fort William, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Road Traffic Offences

If you’ve been charged with a driving offence, you need support from a lawyer who knows the ins and outs of road traffic law and who can protect your reputation as well as your driving licence. I understand that road traffic offences often have the potential to threaten your livelihood, especially if you’re based in the Highlands or Moray where public transport services are infrequent. I offer legal defence for the full range of traffic law offences, including dangerous driving, driving under the influence of drink or drugs, driving while using a mobile phone, speeding, totting up bans and driving without insurance.
